Early in Monday’s London trading session, all major equity indices are up which indicates at least to start the week risk appetite remains fairly healthy. Whether that can be sustained to end the month of June remains to be seen over the course of the week.
Bitcoin continues to hover near $21,200. The fact that BTC/USD managed to hold above the key $20,000 level to end last week provides further evidence that there is strong likelihood we will see at least some retracement higher.
USD/JPY has found its way back above 135.00 (currently trading at 135.05) as the uptrend remains firmly intact.
Euro remains resistent to a breakout as it continues to hover in the 1.0550 – 1.0600 range. The Pound looks to have more upside potential as GBP/USD trades at 1.2325 currently.
At 8:30 AM EST, Durable Goods Orders will be released out of the United States with an expectation for a release of 0.1% which would be a dip from the previous figure of 0.4%.
